Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco Huchuy – Quenqo – Patabamba – Lamay – Ollantaytambo- Aguas Calientes

We pick you up from your hotel at 7:00 a.m. and drive for 1:30 minutes to patabamba from here we have a incredible view of the Sacred Valley. We begin our trek close to Siwa (3750 m). It will take us about 2 hours to get to the highest point, the Inca Yupanqui pass (4050m). During the trek we have excellent views of snow-capped peaks, cultivating fields and the possibility to see falcons in their natural habitat. From the pass it only takes 15 minutes to get to the canyon of Puma Punko (the gate of the Puma) and after that it only takes us one more hour to reach Huchuy Qosqo that once was the palace of the king Wiraccocha. We’ll get a guided visit and then a lunch at the site, and after we walk down for 1:30 minutes until Lamay village where our transportation to Ollantaytambo will wait for us. In Ollantaytambo we visit the city and have dinner before taking the train to Machupicchu Pueblo.
