Tour Collpa and Macaws 3D/1N

Reception at the airport and transfer to WASAI Maldonado Ecolodge, where you will receive our welcome with a delicious tropical juice. Boarding by boat with outboard motor and transfer for approximately 3½ hours by the Tambopata River, to the WASAI Tambopata Lodge (Box lunch on the route). During the trip we will have the opportunity to observe various bird species, families of capybaras, the world’s largest rodents, alligators and other wildlife. Reception and accommodation at the Lodge. After a short break, we will make a night walk to the forest to observe and hear insects, bats, frogs, and perhaps have an occasional encounter with other nocturnal mammals. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge. The diverse sounds of the jungle will accompany our first night in the Amazon. Overnight at WASAI Tambopata Lodge (BL, C).

We will get up early (4.30 a.m.) and start our 60-minute journey upriver to the Macaw Collpa of El Chuncho, in the Bahuaja-Sonene National Park. We will have the opportunity to enjoy beautiful natural scenery and wildlife on the banks of the Tambopata River. Upon arrival, whenever weather conditions permit, we can observe one of the greatest wildlife shows: hundreds of Parrots and Macaws of various species descending to feed on the mud of a ravine, an experience that you will never forget! We take a snack. At mid-morning, we will return to the Lodge to have breakfast and enjoy free time, whether to rest, do adventure activities or enjoy the facilities and amenities offered by Wasaí. Also, they will have the opportunity to bathe in the Tambopata River. Those who wish, can do Kayak (*) to operate some of the more than 250 species of fish that inhabit the area.
After lunch, we will enter the jungle making an Ethnobotanical walk through the trails of Tambopata, learning about the medicinal plants and trees of the area, and observing the impressive ecosystem of the Amazon, where we can see walking palm trees, millenary lupunas (trees), snakes, etc. At dusk, we will take a night boat ride in search of alligators. Dinner. Overnight at WASAI Tambopata Lodge (D, A, C).

After breakfast we will begin our return by the Tambopata river towards Puerto Maldonado to take our flight to Lima or Cuzco (D).
